Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş stated that with the start of the new academic year, they provided various aid under the title of educational support for children in social aid beneficiary households.
Stating that the resources transferred to SYDVs will be used to cover the educational expenses of children in needy households and support their education, Göktaş stated that they contribute to the development of children as well-equipped individuals with education-oriented social aid.
Göktaş underlined that they will continue to use their resources to cover the education expenses of children in social assistance beneficiary households and said:
“In this regard, we transferred 450 million liras to the 973 Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation to meet the basic educational needs of students attending primary and secondary education at primary and secondary education levels in social aid beneficiary households, such as clothing, shoes, bags and stationery. As the Ministry, we are based on the principle of the best interest of our children.” We provide many incentives and supports. Increasing child welfare and children’s access to education are among our primary goals. It is vital for us that our children, who will play an important role in building the future of our country, are not deprived of education. With this support, our priority will be to ensure that our children are not left out of education. Thus, we also uphold the principle of equality of opportunity in education. “We will support it.”
