2023-YKS was held in 228 exam centers in 81 provinces and Nicosia. In the first session of 2023-YKS, which is the first session of 2023-YKS, to which a record number of candidates applied, 513 thousand 6 officers, 380 thousand 5 officers in the second session of AYT, 55 thousand 205 officers in the last session of YDT. About 1 million people took part in 2023-YKS.
With the special permissions of ÖSYM, step by step, the shipment of 534 transport vehicles carrying the exam documents taken from the closed printing center for 45 days, free from all kinds of communication tools, to 228 exam centers across the country under the security chain, and their return to the center after the operation, were viewed for the first time.
The transportation vehicles carrying the exam documents were provided with the coordination of the police departments and gendarmerie commands to reach the place where they will be kept in the exam centers.
ÖSYM’s exam operation started with the loading of the exam documents on the transport vehicles from the closed printing center, which is completely isolated from the outside world.
The staff did not leave the center for about 1.5 months.
The staff in the center, where there is not even a single window, covered with a Faraday cage and protected by a jammer system, did not go out for about 1.5 months. The personnel, whose basic needs are met in this center, did not communicate with the outside world in any way for 45 days, including their families.
Transport vehicles were protected with an electromechanical lock system.
534 intercity transportation vehicles, which were sent off from this center to 80 cities outside the TRNC and Ankara at various time intervals, were taken under protection with a special timed electromechanical lock system with each city. The time at which the electromechanical lock would be opened was coded from the center and the log records of the key were kept.
Transport vehicles were tracked via GPS with a vehicle tracking system with special software throughout the process. Before setting off, the drivers who used the transport vehicles, which were subjected to traffic inspection once again, were also tested for alcohol.
The transport process was followed by a special camera system.
The process of reaching 228 exam centers in 80 provinces other than TRNC and Ankara, of 534 transport vehicles, on which exam documents were loaded, was followed by a special camera system at the ÖSYM Exam Coordination Center.
The routes of the transport vehicles, the stop-go and stopover processes, and even the speed of their travel were recorded in this center every second.

OSYM President Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy also examined the electromechanical locking system of some of the transport vehicles that set off from the closed printing area and then sent them off to the provinces.
Ersoy, who also made examinations at the exam coordination center, where all the movements of the exam transport vehicles are tracked on GPS, then gave information about the camera systems installed in the locations where the exam transport vehicles will reach.
ÖSYM carried out the transfer of exam documents of 1 million 66 thousand 662 candidates under special security measures in Istanbul, which received the most applications from 3.5 million candidates who applied to YKS. 48 intercity transportation vehicles at 3 different points in Istanbul were kept until the exam hour.
Diyarbakir center and Handle
This year, for the first time, the excitement of exams took place in Kulp district, which is 145 kilometers from the center of Diyarbakır.
During the shipment process, which took place under high security measures, the security forces accompanied the exam transport vehicles.
High security until exam time
The exam transport vehicles were guarded with high precision under the supervision of the security forces at the points where they were kept until the time of distribution on the exam day.
Each vehicle arriving in different provinces was parked in areas that were clearly visible from the ÖSYM Exam Coordination Center, thanks to the camera system that took 360-degree images.
In addition, the security forces kept watch at the beginning of the vehicles 24/7.
8,882 urban transport vehicles were used for 2023-YKS
On the morning of the exam, electronic locks were opened at predetermined times in front of ÖSYM cameras and under the supervision of security forces.
The exam documents, which were kept in closed boxes, were delivered to the city transport vehicles to be distributed to the centers.
Question booklets and answer papers were delivered to the exam buildings using urban transport vehicles. 8,882 urban transport vehicles were used for 2023-YKS.
Question booklets were carefully preserved from boxes with QR codes to desks.
In the Ankara leg of the shooting, the transport vehicle carrying the exam papers reached the exam center. The exam documents were downloaded from the vehicle that came to the exam building under the supervision of the security forces. The documents, whose counts were completed, were received by the building supervisor with a report.
The exam documents, which were kept in boxes with QR codes, were opened in front of ÖSYM cameras and distributed to the classes in the presence of the building supervisor and supervisors. Examiners were also taken to the buildings with camera tape. After the top searches of the candidates with detectors, the entrances to the classes began.
Examiners informed the candidates about the process. Locked bags containing question booklets and answer sheets were opened at the specified time and distributed to the candidates.
The exam application was followed by special cameras.
After the exam, the question booklets and answer sheets were placed in locked boxes and set out to be brought to the ÖSYM Exam Documentation Center.
OSYM, which started the process of reading the answer papers of the candidates, will announce the YKS results on 20 July.
