Stating that students have the right to transfer once according to their OSYM result documents and once according to their grade point average, Butur said, “While studying at a university, the student has the right to apply to the departments they want according to the YKS score types formed in the year they entered the university, according to the department scores formed that year. University They can achieve their dreams without taking the exam again. The grade point average of the semesters completed at the university must be at least 2.29. Horizontal transfers are made within the framework of the ‘Regulation on the Principles of Transition between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions’ and the decisions of YÖK. It is possible to apply for horizontal transfer to all universities “The quota and application dates of undergraduate and associate degree programs of all universities can be seen on the web page of YÖK,” he said.
“They should not be deregistered during their application”
Stating that horizontal transfer applications can be made to more than one university at the same time, Butur said, “There is no limit, but only one can be registered in line with your preferences. Students whose lateral transfer applications are negative can continue their education at the university they attend. They do not experience any deprivation of rights because they apply to another university. They should not be deregistered during their application,” he said.
Butur, who gave information about the people who cannot make a transfer, said, “Those who have ÖSYM score, YKS or DGS placement score in the year they enrolled are lower than the base score of the program they want to transfer to, those who do not meet the criteria determined by ÖSYM with their grade point average, can apply to the program at the equivalent or the same level. Those who do not apply cannot make a horizontal transfer.”
