According to the statement made by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), the decisions taken in order to eliminate the differences in practice in higher education institutions regarding students who have completed the maximum education period were sent to the universities.
Accordingly, students enrolled in all 4, 5 and 6-year higher education programs at associate and undergraduate level will be able to benefit from the examination rights in Article 44/c of the Law No. 2547 for the courses they have never taken or failed by not meeting the attendance requirement.
For students whose maximum period has expired, applications will be made for those who need to be evaluated with practice in terms of the quality of education and training, and an exam will be held for theoretical education. The same will apply to courses that students have not taken before.
Those who take the said applications and exams will continue to pay the student contribution and tuition fee per course.
Contribution and tuition fees cannot exceed the amount determined for the period related to the Presidential decision.
