In the second term scholarship campaign of private school associations and platforms for students in regions affected by earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, more than 2,000 schools from 68 provinces allocated free quota for more than 20 thousand students.
In the joint statement made by the Turkish Private Schools Association (TÖZOK), All Private Education Institutions Association (TÖDER), Private Education Association (ÖZDER), Special Education-Training Association (ÖZDEBİR), Association of Private Education Institutions Association (ÖZKURBİR) and Ankara Education Platform, the earthquake It was announced that the students who immigrated from the region where they lived would be educated in private schools with full scholarship during the second semester.
In this context, all private schools that support the campaign announce their guest student quotas on “www.misafirogrenci.org”.
In his statement on the subject, TOBB Turkey Education Council Vice President Mirkan Aydın stated that the guest student application was made ready on the 4th day of the earthquake.
Special education courses and institutions will also be included in the system.
Noting that over 2 thousand schools from 68 provinces have allocated free quota for more than 20 thousand students in the course of time, Aydın stated that the education, food, books and stationery expenses of the students taken within this scope will be covered by the institutions, and gave the following information:
“Additionally, with the support of our parents, families who cannot afford to live in houses, summer houses or hotels will be supported. Priority will be given to families who have completely lost their home, income and face-to-face education opportunities. Our project coordinator Gökhan Ünlüer and his team maintain the system with a 24/7 working tempo. We aim to reach much higher quota numbers in a few days. Within the scope of the project, we are also working to ensure that this support, which will be given until the end of the term, becomes long-term. Again, private education courses and private education institutions will be included in the system in a few days, and our support to earthquake-affected families will increase exponentially.”
