Test-based exam practice in high schools has been abolished

The Regulation on Amendments to the Secondary Education Institutions Regulation of the Ministry of National Education was published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette.

In addition to the provisions regarding grade repetition in high schools, absenteeism and transition to open education, the new regulation also included new articles.

In the regulation, which includes the regulation on how students’ exams will be held, the previous regulation that allowed one exam of a course to be held by test method was ended.

In this context, it will be conducted in the form of a written examination consisting of items whose answers are created by the student and measure achievements at different cognitive levels. From now on, exams at all levels in high schools will be held with classical measurement methods.
