TİHEK will provide “Human rights and equality” training to undergraduate students

TİHEK President Muharrem Kılıç gave information within the scope of the “Human Rights and Equality Campus Project”, which started last year for undergraduate students within the institution.

Saying that they hold regional meetings with representatives of law faculties across the country for the development of university students, Kılıç gave the following information:

“We have close to 8.5 million young people in the age of higher education. Within the framework of our cooperation with universities, we aim to inform them about our institution and our corporate activities, on the one hand, and to deepen their knowledge in the field of human rights and equality, on the other hand. Within the framework of the ubiquity of education, we provide human resources to undergraduate students, especially to our law faculties. We will carry out certificate programs in the field of human rights and equality.”

Stating that the trainings on human rights and equality will start at TİHEK in the first week of July, Kılıç said, “We aim to open the horizons of our students in terms of achieving an international vision and developing their careers. While the trainings lay the groundwork for the experiences of the students, on the other hand, thanks to the support of our expert coordinators who will provide the trainings, TİHEK will make it a career path. It will provide the opportunity to see it as a target.” said.

“We aim to continue these trainings continuously”

Kılıç also stated that they aim to carry out studies on the structure of national human rights institutions, the protection of human rights on an international scale, the fight against discrimination and the improvement of the knowledge of students within the framework of equality law.

Kilic said:

“We want to introduce students not only to the institutional structures of national human rights, but also to examples from the world on this subject. We aim to continue these trainings continuously. At this point, we receive high demand from universities. This is a career door for students. In this respect, it is important for students to get to know the institution closely and know how it works. These trainings are very beneficial.”
