Vocational high schools earned 932 million lira in the first 3 months of the year

In his written statement, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer emphasized that vocational high schools are taking firm steps towards the production target of 3.5 billion liras in total this year.

Minister Özer used the following statements:

“Our vocational and technical high schools, which have revolving funds, increased their income by 175 percent in the first three months of 2023 compared to the same period of the previous year, and increased to approximately 932 million liras. During January, February and March, with the income of 48 million liras from the production of electrical and electronic technology, Istanbul Arnavutköy Mehmet Akif Ersoy Multi-Program Anatolian High School, Gaziantep Şehitkamil Carpeting and Foreign Trade Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in the field of food and beverage services with an income of nearly 22 million liras, and Beylerbeyi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, also from our Şehitkamil district, became our top three schools that contributed the most to the economy with their production in the field of textile technology. “


The highest income is from Istanbul

Noting that Istanbul, Gaziantep, Ankara, Konya and Şanlıurfa are the top five provinces with the highest income in the first three months of this year within the scope of the revolving fund operation, Özer said that Istanbul’s income was 148 million 223 thousand liras, Gaziantep 110 million 497 thousand liras. He stated that he had increased it to the lira.

Minister of National Education Özer said, “Ankara ranked third with 85 million 71 thousand liras in income, and Konya fourth with 48 million 451 thousand liras. Şanlıurfa ranked fifth with 40 million 995 thousand liras in income.” gave the information.

Özer also stated that the areas with the highest income in the first three months of the year were food and beverage services, furniture and interior design, metal technology, accommodation and travel services and chemical technology, respectively.


Students received a share of 48 million liras, teachers 132 million liras.

Mahmut Özer stated that students and teachers also benefited from this income obtained within the scope of the revolving fund, and noted that the students received a share of 48 million liras and teachers a share of 132 million liras from the 932 million liras of income obtained in the first three months.
