Make-up training in the earthquake zone
Between August 1st and September 1st, we will organize a 2-month make-up training program in the earthquake zone.
At the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year, we will do one more month of make-up training. In other words, we will do 2 months of make-up training in the earthquake zone. Students will be able to receive this training in the province they want, not necessarily in the location where they study.
Returns to the earthquake zone continue. 82 thousand 560 students returned.

OECD’s Türkiye Education Report
There were problems with enrollment rates in Turkey. The enrollment rate was below 50 percent. In the last 20 years, moves have been made to improve them.
Pre-school education reached 99.9 percent in 20 years. The high school enrollment rate, which was 44 percent, rose to 99.12 percent.
“Türkiye has achieved quality growth,” the report says.
By increasing the number of teachers, Türkiye has also reduced the number of students per teacher. This is how it goes in the report. The number of students per teacher in high school is even better than the OECD.
Schooling rate of girls
The schooling rate of our girls was 39 percent in the 2000s, and after this transformation, it increased to 99 percent. The enrollment rate of girls began to surpass boys.
Claims of ‘brain drain abroad’
This claim is purely false. They make a perception that Turkey is not a livable country. The number of international students in higher education is constantly increasing.
Kılıçdaroğlu’s allegations
Kılıçdaroğlu’nun allegations are completely false. The OECD reports are out there, we give our data to anyone who wants it. While Turkey has increased its enrollment rates above 99 percent, these allegations seem to me as a disconnection from the field with the truth. Kılıçdaroğlu distorts the data, this is disrespectful to labor.
Steps towards vocational education
For the first time, our schools that accepted students from the 1 percent success rate began to emerge. On the other hand, vocational high schools started to produce within the scope of revolving funds. Vocational high schools have now started to export abroad.
In Vocational Education Centers, students go to school once a week and are at work 4 days a week. The employment rate of graduates is 88 percent.
New teacher appointment
Our president announced that the interviews would be cancelled. When the interview is removed, KPSS will be the only criterion for teacher dismissal. Hopefully, it will not be limited to 45 thousand from now on, the assignment will definitely happen. What we want is for our brothers and sisters to get back to school as soon as possible.
Will schools be closed on May 29?
There will be a second round of elections on May 28, and we will have a holiday in our schools on May 29. Our students will be on leave, our teachers will be considered on administrative leave.
